Which Questions Does Your Website Content Actually Answer?

AI assistants match user questions against question-and-answer patterns in website content. Pages with question-format headings (e.g. "What is our return policy?") are more likely to be retrieved for those queries. Identifying all question-style headings across a site reveals current FAQ coverage and highlights gaps where user questions go unanswered.

The Questions tool in QueryBurst Site Intelligence indexes every question-format heading across all crawled pages, grouped by page, with direct links to the source content.

How to Access The Questions Report in QueryBurst

Filters

  • Search — Find specific questions using advanced syntax: "exact phrase"*or*-exclude
  • Heading only — When checked (default), shows only headings that are phrased as questions. Uncheck to include all headings.
  • Level chips — Filter by heading level (H2, H3, H4, H5). Shows count for each level.

Question Cards

Each question appears as a card showing:

  • Heading level label (H2, H3, etc.)
  • Question text — The heading content
  • Breadcrumb — The heading hierarchy path
  • Page — Which page the question appears on, with a link to view it
  • Answer preview — Click to expand and see the content below the heading (the answer). Long answers are truncated.

Interpreting Results

Healthy Signs

  • Questions match user queries — Your question headings align with what people ask about your topic
  • Answers follow questions — Content directly below question headings provides clear answers
  • Good coverage — Key topics have FAQ-style coverage
  • H2/H3 level — Questions at these levels are most visible to AI models

Warning Signs

  • No questions found — Your content doesn't use question-style headings, missing a key AI retrieval signal
  • Questions without answers — Question headings with no substantial content below them
  • Too deep (H4/H5) — Questions buried at deep heading levels may not be picked up by AI models

Tips For Using the QueryBurst Questions Report

  1. Compare against search queries — Are users asking questions your site doesn't address?
  2. Check answer quality — Expand questions to verify the answer content is clear and complete
  3. Add question headings — For key topics, reformulate section headings as questions to improve AI answer targeting
  4. Use H2 or H3 — Questions at these levels carry the most weight for AI retrieval

Technical Details

Questions are identified by scanning crawled pages for headings that contain question marks or begin with question words (What, How, Why, When, Where, Who, Can, Does, Is, Are, etc.). The answer preview shows the content between the question heading and the next heading of equal or higher level.

  • Knowledge Graph — Entity profiles and extracted knowledge
  • Facts & Claims — Statements and claims from your content
  • Architecture — URL structure and content organisation
