QueryBurst Answer Engine Guide
Answer Engine is the investigation workspace within QueryBurst. It combines persistent personas, stateful multi-turn conversations, branching buyer journeys, and inspection of the research process behind each answer.
It is not a prompt tracker.
Prompt trackers start with isolated prompts and measure the outputs. Answer Engine starts with the person, preserves the state of the journey, and works forwards through the research process to show why an answer happened.
This guide explains the underlying model, why personas alone do not solve the context problem, how buyer journeys work, what Answer Engine models, and how to use it in practice.

QueryBurst Answer Engine vs Prompt Tracking (Profound, Peec AI, PromptWatch)
Prompt trackers observe outputs from isolated prompts. QueryBurst Answer Engine models the person, the journey, and the research process behind the answer. Here is what that means in practice.
Personas & Context
A persona represents who is asking. It is not a mega-prompt. It should be underbaked. And adding one to a prompt tracker does not solve the context problem.
Conversations & Buyer Journeys
A buyer journey is a stateful, branching conversation. Turn order, assistant answers, and branching decisions all shape the research. Funnel stage labels are not the same thing.
What Answer Engine Inspects
Answer Engine exposes what happened before the final answer: the model's starting position, fan-out queries, evidence targets, candidate sources, filtering, grounding, and citations.
Sources, Citations & Diagnosis
A page can be retrieved, selected, grounded, or cited — and can disappear at any stage. Citation is not automatically success. Answer Engine keeps the full trail.
How to Use Answer Engine
Create one persona and ask it a question, or model complete buyer journeys with branches. Run when something meaningful changes, not every day.
Credits & Usage
One processed turn uses one credit. Each turn involves multiple model operations, web searches, retrieval, scoring, and grounding. Creating branches is free.
